Hi, my name is Caila Samuels

I am excitedly counting down the days to my Bat Mitzva in March 2020. But instead of the usual bat mitzva party and presents, I have decided to celebrate my Bat Mitzva but partnering with an incredible organization called Innovation Africa.

Innovation Africa provides fresh clean water and solar energy to villages around Africa by installing cutting edge Israeli solar and irrigation technologies. It is difficult for us in our privileged lives to imagine but there are hundreds of thousands of people in Africa who don’t have access to electricity and clean water. This is life in Siamulunga, Zambia, the village I have chosen for my bat mitzva project (see photos sent by the Principal of the school below).

Together, we can radically change the lives of these wonderful children and all the people in the village. Instead of Bat Mitzva presents, I want to give the gift of water and energy to Siamulunga.

My family and friends will be joining me, running in the Jerusalem Marathon as "Caila’s Team for Innovation Africa" in March 2020 for Innovation Africa.
